On Tuesday, September 26 Doster Construction Company donated $10,000 to the Heart Institute at Florida Hospital Zephyrhills. Walton Doster, President and COO, and Richard Betourne, Vice President/Branch Manager of Orlando, presented the check to Scott Pittman, President/CEO Florida Hospital Zephyrhills.
Sharon Heinrich, Director Florida Hospital Zephyrhills Foundation, stated that Doster pledged a total of $25,000 to the Heart Institute and this was their first donation. Doster is recognized by the Foundation as a Gold Business Partner. The Business Partners Club is a relationship with the local community businesses and the hospital. The business is committed to assisting Florida Hospital Zephyrhills in providing quality healthcare by donating funds to purchase new technology and equipment.
Doster Construction has been in existence for the past 37 years and they have been working with Florida Hospital Zephyrhills for 3 years. They have offices in Orlando and Tampa, FL, Nashville, TN, Montgomery, AL and their main office in Birmingham, AL.
Pittman stated ,“We are very thankful for your quality and commitment to our community. We will be good stewards and invest in quality patient care.” Walton Doster , of Doster Construction, was pleased and stated that he “enjoys the relationship with Florida Hospital, because they are good people to work with.”
Since its opening in January 2006 the Heart Institute has performed 100 open heart surgeries and almost 1,000 cardiac catheterizations. That’s over 1,100 hearts saved.
