Florida Hospital Zephyrhills has won the 2011 Large Business of the Year Award from the Dade City Chamber. The hospital received this honor because of our involvement in local business and civic organizations, offering ongoing health and wellness and prevention education and for our commitment to providing our patients with innovative technology and procedures.
“We are continually focused on finding ways we can improve the health and well-being of the communities we serve,” says Doug Duffield, president & CEO, Florida Hospital Zephyrhills. “Last year, our annual community benefit contribution, which included care to the underprivileged and elderly, and addressing the health, wellness, safety and spiritual needs of our residents, totaled in excess of $28.6M.”
During the last year, Florida Hospital Zephyrhills has expanded its services to include a Primary Stroke Center, robotic surgery, and a Neuroscience Institute. Our nationally recognized, award winning Heart Institute recently received the 2012 5-star HealthGrades rating for the Treatment of Heart Attack.
Criteria for nomination of the Large Business of the Year included: being a Dade City Chamber member for at least one year, having more than 26 employees and demonstrate outstanding contributions to the betterment of Dade City through commitment of time, talent and resources and demonstrates civic participation and charitable contributions.
