- Sudden numbness or weakness of the face, arm or leg, especially on one side of the body
- Sudden confusion, trouble speaking or understanding
- Sudden trouble seeing in one or both eyes
- Sudden trouble walking, dizziness, loss of balance or coordination
- Sudden severe headache with no known cause
Also, check the time so you can advise the Stroke Center of the time that your symptoms began. Today, there is treatment that can reduce the risk of damage for the most common kind of stroke, but you must seek help immediately. Your best chances are when you see a doctor within the first 3 hours of the onset of symptoms.
